Well, after a little more than a year, I’m coming back to blog-land. I have really missed blogging and being part of such an awesome community, but it was so nice to take the past year to focus on my pregnancy and my now 6 month old little girl! It has been a roller coaster year for our little family and looks like it will continue to be and I’m anxious to share it with all of you! My blog will be undergoing a lot of changes over the coming weeks (new name, new topics, new look) so I hope you’ll all be patient and bear with me while I get back into the swing of things. In the meantime, here’s a little peak at what my life looks like these days…

This past weekend was a blur and not very relaxing, but it was completely worth making the trip home to see our mothers on Mother’s Day. It was so hectic I even forgot to take photos, so hopefully I can use a free pass on this one and promise to do better next time.

We got back to  Boston late last night and got to sleep in a little this morning, so I had the presence of mind to take at least two photos of some things putting a spring in my step on this Monday morning.

Today is a very good day. The sun is finally shining, I’m only working until 1, and have a fro-yo date with my friends and their babies this afternoon. Oh yeah, and it’s Friday!

What’s on your wish list this week?

I seem to be on a gray kick this week – maybe I’m inspired by the constant Boston rain lately, but I find myself gravitating towards all shades of gray in everything. Even though it’s Spring and all about bright colors, I love pairing those bright colors with gray for a more sophisticated look or just letting light gray speak for itself. I’m almost definitely going to be painting my bedroom walls pale gray this week, so hopefully this love affair with gray is here to stay.

Saturday was our Derby de Mayo party and thanks to lots of help from my friend Jenny it was so fun. Everyone wore their Derby hats, ate lots of Mexican food, and took bets on which horse would win.

First of all, who doesn’t love Funfetti? No one I know.

When I saw this recipe on Pinterest (from the cutest blog ever Lovin’ From the Oven), I knew I had to try it. It just seemed so easy and once in a while you just need a whimsical dessert to make 3 rainy days in a row seem a little bit better.

I used a small crinkle edge cookie cutter to make them all the same size, put some extra frosting in the middle, rolled them in sprinkles and made little Funfetti sandwiches out of them. The bright colors perked up my day, and Husband loved having an unexpected  little  treat.

Wednesday is here, which means the weekend is within reach!

The weather in Boston continues to disappoint (where the heck is Spring??!!) so I’m desperately in need of WILW to perk myself up on these dreary days.
